need quick help with oring water neck
When installing new thermostat do I use any rtv on the termostat? I know none on the o-ring but I removed some from underside of thermo just wondering if this is nessary with the o-ring or all dry?

but good luck with it actually sealing for very long. i bought a stock neck for like 12$ after my o-ring one leaked after about a week.

Put sealant on the bolts. Some of the threaded holes for the bolts are drilled into the water jacket on the intake. I found this out the hard way

I have heard the orings suck, and the orings are the best ever. So I decide to try the orings first and go from there did not get a chrome coated one just polished billet

Use a gasket with it. It helped mine so far...

I have had no issue with the higher dollar O-ring necks, like the ones that Billet Specialties makes. The cheaper ones are a gamble either way, and if they leak then they are of cheap enough metal that they start a corrosive action at the mounting surface and then the intake gets pitted. Go for quality and be happy with the results.
