Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

My 68 has got 20 years on me. Right now it's looking like I'm the faster one with that 305 sitting inbetween the fenders.

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

I bought my truck when I was 19 and she was 32, it was love at first sight. Now I am 25 and she is 38, and I too plan on growing old with her.

I am older than all of my other vehicles though.

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

Hmmm! The year I was born Chevy didn't even make trucks for public consumption! And even if you had an old truck at the time, you probably weren't able to buy gas or tires for it.

It was the year Gen. Doolittle's guys flew B25s off the deck of USS Hornet for their plant tour of the Mitsubishi factory, so yeah, I am considerably older than my truck. I kick my butt regularly that I didn't buy a couple new and save them. I actually bought 2 new 67 Ford long wheel base trucks. I guess I had to get old before I figured out the true meaning of class.

LOL my truck pre-dates me by ten years. Truck was born in 68, and I was born in 78.

UHG! Zonaman think poll skewed toward young men in clan! Zonaman see more summers than fingers, both hands, when truck born. Zonaman not slower than truck. Zonaman mightly hunter still. Hair gray, back hurt, belly round- but still have all teeth! Zonaman go back cave now, make fire, drink mastadon brew, beat chest, sleeeeeeeep.

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

Lets see here:

I am younger than the 67 4X4, 68 2wd short step, 68 4X4 GMC parts truck (for free!), 69 2wd short fleet, and the 70 RS/SS Camaro.

I am older than the 72 K5 Blazer, 90 454 SS, 99 Cop Spec tahoe, and the 07 Dodge Mega, Cummins. I am in worse shape than most of these vehicles and I'll be 35 in a couple of weeks, d@mn shame isn't it?!

I'm ten years younger than my truck.
It was made in 67, and I wasn't born until 77.

I was big enough to drive my truck when it came off the line but I wasn't legal to drive it.

The same age here, both 67 and celebrating the big 4-O this coming July together. Actually this was one of the reason I bought her couple of years ago!

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

My truck and my step mother were 'born' in the same month. Her dad (who gave me the truck) thinks that is the funniest thing in the world.

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

I am 3 years younger than my favorite pig. I am almost embarrased to let anyone see the most recent pic of her.. Its being daily driven, 11 gallons of fuel a day wasnt cutting it, so it got some new (used)

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

Sheesh guys, thanks for opening my eyes to How Old I Really Am!
But really though, I do have a couple of years on my truck, its born on date was Jan. of '68 so this makes me what, 20 months older than. BUT, the Newly rebuilt engine is sooo young, it can whip the snap out of a lot of these younger whipper-snappers! Its joints and my joints do share a lot of the same symptoms though, some squeaks, some creaks, some popping noises.

Re: I am Younger/Older than my truck

Not only am I the same age as my '67... Born Oct 1967. But My Wife was born in March 1968... and I am currently building a '68....
That's really the reason I like '67's & '68 the best. Oh, and the grille and hood looks better to me
