How difficult is it to hide all the eng wiring? I really like the clean, no showing wires look. I'm gonna have to replace the harness anyway. I have a '72 c10 long wide and the cab is pretty much stripped now, no interior, no seats, eng and trans is out, gee there's a lot of work ahead.

Because of my tilt I ran mine down and into the frame. You just have to lengthen everything to reach either coming up by your motor mounts or around the back and down the intake valley.

Thanks for the info, I wonder if painless makes one with longer wires?

All painless kits are longer than needed for any truck. I did not have the extra cash for one but I had two harnesss. I ran my out the side of the kick pannel and up into the fender above the wheel and into the rad support for the horn lights and fan. I ran the motor wires thru the firewall. It only takes 3 wires to run a carbed motor red for HEI ,Purple for starter and green for tempature gauge. It's doable and looks really nice when done.

Don't forget a wire for the AC compressor (if you have it).

I was really worried about the what wire went where, what guage was used, colors etc... so I procured a donor harness from another truck from the fuse box forward, matched the correct color and guage wires, extended as much as I could, and ran em' right up the frame rail. It really cleaned things up under the hood.
