wiring electric fuel pump
I am installing a holley electric fuel pump on my truck and would like to wire it in with a relay. I am not to familar on how to wire a relay so any help with be appreciated.

Get a fuel pump relay kit from Painless. Then you don't have to think much about it.

When I do an electric fuel pump, I put an oil pump pressure activated on switch in the circuit for the pump in case there is a crash the engine will die, more than likely, and the fuel won't keep pumping.

I put a 50 amp stationary switch in place between the fuel pump and the ignition. So, even if the key was on I would still have to throw the second switch to get the pump going. That does two things, one it gives me the peace of mind that when the truck is off and the key is out, even if the ignition switch goofs the pump won't turn on. Two, if you need to pull the carb off to work on it you can start the truck and turn off the pump switch and drain the fuel bowls so you won't make a mess when you tear it done.
