Another "what's it worth?" thread.. perfect 57 pickup

My neighbor want to sell this truck. It has been restored frame off, every nut and bolt. Can a couple of you guys who know these years tell me what the price range should be for this truck. I have a 70 Chevy so I don't know what to tell him for this 57 Chevy. Here are a few more details and pics:

The motor is a 327 w/ high perf heads (double hump) and a mild cam, completely gone through with a turbo 350 fresh and 3:73 to 1 rear ratio. Power disc brakes, vintage air etc..again, every nut and bolt has been done.

I'm no expert(and it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, so market it well)but I'd say between 20-30k from looking at it. I'm sure he knows that he won't get what $/time he has into it. These things are bad "investments". This is exactly why I'll never sell any of my "customized" rides.

Value is always subjective to one person opinion and is only worth what someone is willing to pay. So in saying that, I would say between $20 to $25k.

I think I'm going the other way, I'm thinking 12 - 18K.
Its in between stock a hotrod. The suspension is stock and the engine is later as is the trans and brakes but every thing else is stock and stock doesn't command the prices into the 20's and 30's. Its a very nice truck and looks like they paid attention to the details but it would have to be a 10 point truck to get 20's and up. I really think it will sell at $12 - $14K. If it had Air Ride, 9", custom interior and a sound system later model injected engine it would go into the middle to high 20's.

Compare it to Cal 58's truck. I think he would get 25K to 32k. Its updated driveline and suspension, slick paint, everything is very clean and detailed but nothing is overboard. Its a modern late model truck originaly built in the 50's It could be a very nice daily driver or just a show winner. That get it in the 30's

History of the build will help raise the price. Get it into a few shows and see where it places that will give you your price better than anyone could. This is only my oppinion and what I would look at in that price range. I would seriously look at it at 14k and would consider 18k but not 20's

I agree. The more details on the resto, the more $ you can demand. Reciepts won't get you exact dollar for dollar, but they help. I have saved all of mine(as well as documented the resto with photos), but I never want to sell. Just something to think about.
