Anything to cover the side-rail holes in the bed?

I have a fleetside truck and just got one of those canvas Tonneau covers. I'm really super happy with it, but water leaks in from the latch-holes (not sure what they're called) on the sides of the bed.

Is there something out there you can get to plug/cover these holes?

Thanks!

Stake Pockets! The company you got your cover from might have plastic plugs for the holes or you there are a type out that are made for using as tie downs for a load and when not used, they recess into the plug. The other alternative is to weld them shut but I'm sure you don't want to go through all that.

What brand did you get, I have a soft tonneau on my daily driver (91 Silverado( and a soft tonneau on my son's truck (86 Silverado), both SWB trucks and they don't leak into the bed, unless it comes throught the gap at the tailgate, at high speeds. The brand that we are using is "EXTANG" and it is a good company to deal with.

Bishops - thanks for the suggestion!

piecesparts - I have the Extang one as well. VERY happy with it it's one of the few products that's very well engineered and fits together very well - just like the instructions say!

However, the frame does not cover the stake holes. There's about 1/3in on the holes that's exposed on either side. I would love to see if yours cover the holes but mine does not.

I'll see what I can find. If anyone else has a suggestion please post!

Thanks

Re: Anything to cover the side-rail holes in the bed?

I am running the Platinum Classic model, which has the frame that covers the holes and the tonneau snaps to it. I would ask which model did you get (Extang makes 3 or 4 different styles) and ARE you absolutely sure that you have the right model number to fit your bed? There are as many different sizxes as there are trucks. Call them and ask them what they see as your problem. They have an excellent service department.
