Can someone verify...fuel sender resistance
For me? I think its supposed to be 90 ohms. My gas gauge in the Blazer wasn't working, so I dropped the tank to mount the bumper brackets. Pulled the float, its reading infinity on full and a short at empty. I don't think thats right. Its new too. Really makes me mad. Sorry rant off. Just need to know the resistance for sure before I order another new one. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: Can someone verify...fuel sender resistance
The new sending units say 0 ohms empty, 90 ohms full. I would measure it with the float somewhere in between, but it dos look to be rather hosed.

Re: Can someone verify...fuel sender resistance
Sender should read 0 ohms at empty and 90 ohms at full. I have tested a few hunderd of our sending units and the readings vary a little. They usully read about 1.3-2 ohms at empty and 88-92 ohms at full.

Re: Can someone verify...fuel sender resistance
i've taken the sending unit apart and reworked them before with pretty good success. carefully remove the cover, clean up the contacts and bend the spring a little to increase the contact pressure (be very careful not to break it!!) that might help, no promises though. hope this helps

Re: Can someone verify...fuel sender resistance
Ya, no joy repairing . I think I made it worse. For some reason, it was super rusty, and the contact was not making. It worked for a minute and then opened back up. Guess I'll be buying a new one again. Thanks guys, Jeff.
