Post help please

i just bought a new interstate 700 CCA battery and hooked it up in my truck, ive got the purple wire on the terminal closest to the motor on the startor, got a red wire running from HEI to ign unfused on fuse block, and when i try to start i just get a click...what have i left out?

foudn the problem guys, its run with like a big wire, then a smaller one, then back to the big size, melted the wires that go from the block on the fender and the one from the back of the altenator
