Drivetrain Noise

Hello to all,
I am new to the board. I just acquired a 66 K10 SNB. The pickup is fairly low mileage, and has been garaged it's whole life. It's pretty nice, except for some drivetrain noise. In any gear there is a howl that sounds like it's coming from the tranny. Anyone have experience with the input shaft bearing going out on an SM420? The other problem is a drag in the drivetrain somewhere. The pickup doesn't roll on it's own, and it feels like the brakes are on all the time. None of the brakes get hot, and it does it even in 2WD with the hubs out. Any ideas?

Glenn

p.s. Happy new year!
