Wow christmas was good to me...!
So i finnaly located a top that wasnt 1000 miles away.... actually try less then 30 miles. That just figures, every time im about to give up the search i find just what im looking for right under my nose.
Anyways it came with all new uninstalled weatherstrip and glass, a working hatch and second parcial hatch with all the hardware still in it all for 500 bucks. I think it was a good deal right? Got most of it together today, here's some pics. As soon as i finish it up and get it on ill get a complete pic. I think the blaze will look funny with a black top but maybe it will go good. we'll see. (it will look like a skunk... black top, white and black tutone body with black rims.. haha) here is my old beat up single wall...

Re: Wow christmas was good to me...!
ya im thinking black is going to look great. It will look much like frenchblue72's only with the black tutone bottom and black wheels.
The only thing that had me worried was i thought i was going to have clearance issues with the top over my custom cage. As it is with the single wall i have less than a centimeter between the center bar and roof. But as i was looking at the new double wall it does not look any thicker at all. it may even be thinner. The single wall is most definantly MUCH heavier then the double and much more rigid but maybe that is why they crack so easy. The double probrobly can "flex" better i guess.

Re: Wow christmas was good to me...!
Top looks real nice and I agree, I think it really compliments the two tone paint. Nice work!

Re: Wow christmas was good to me...!
I like that top!
Is that a heater made from rims in the background?

Re: Wow christmas was good to me...!
Normaly I would say paint it the same color as the rest of your Blazer, but I would have to say the black looks good along with your black wheels.

Re: Wow christmas was good to me...!
haha ya thats a woodstove me and my dad built about 13 years ago and we have been taking it from shop to shop when he moves.
Thanks for the comments guys, i drove it up to salem yesterday and surprisingly i had no wind noise or water hitting me in the sholder anymore...finally. i took another pic today hoping it would be a little brighter outside but here it is.... and how about one that shows what i started with over a year ago now...

Re: Wow christmas was good to me...!
If you would have asked white or black top before this thread I would have said white. But...it really looks sharp with the black top, I would definitely leave it. That picture that you took today looks great!
