Dead Horse #1: Option Sheets
Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm trying to redo my option sticker. I can't figure out how to read it. The example that Yukon has on his website begins with all 1's. For example: 145810 = WHT/RED ORANGE/ WHT/ I guess for paint code. On the Blazer, mine all start with 4's. My Green Vinyl Trim is code 4621HB. Another is 4AS3BA = REAR SEAT EQUIPMENT. Anyone deciphered how to read or duplicate these things accurately? I looked on OhioDans website at his option sheets, but they just confused me. Thanks and sorry again for dragging it to the top. Jeff.

Re: Dead Horse #1: Option Sheets
on those 5 character rpo's the rpo is actually the 2nd, 3rd and 4th charcters.
so 4AS3BA is rpo code AS3

Re: Dead Horse #1: Option Sheets
Thanks Rod, any idea about the rest of them? A 4 vice 1 and so on? Appreciate the help, Jeff.

Try sending a message to chipflyer, he seems to be pretty knowledgeable of the subject. Not to mention he is the only one I have seen able to pull off reproducing the SPID so that it looks original.

Re: Dead Horse #1: Option Sheets
Thanks See ten,
I can reproduce the labels but I have never come up with a good answer as to why some used 3, 6, or 7 characters in the option code. I have lots of original examples, most with just 3 characters but some that actually start with 04 or 4. I had a few emails with Rod (the expert)about this subject awhile back and we never really came up with a good answer for the different codes. It might have been a factory thing, but if you get your restoration pack from GM it will only list the 3 character codes. I have found that sometimes the last 2 characters on the 6 digit codes are 2 letters and sometimes they are numbers. I would love to know more about this subject myself. Jeff

Re: Dead Horse #1: Option Sheets
There is no font available to duplicate the original characters, I have spent a considerable amount of time reproducing the original characters and use paint shop pro to create custom labels.
