Wink Still Lurking, Someday I will be back!!

Hey all,
I don't know if many of you remember me, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year. I used to be a regular, but had to sell my '72 Cheyenne Super for very difficult reasons. Hindsight being 20/20, I should not have gotten rid of it. My goal is to get another this year, But first I have to finish the '56 Bel Air. It was actually going to be finished in time for Thanksgiving, but the car decided to drive itself into a tree in our backyard the day before it's maiden voyage. I finally got all the parts together to put it back together, now I'm just waiting for my painter to get time for it.
I will say this, after having an awesome paintjob, The next truck will be flat black. I jsut can't stand the heart ache of scratched up paint!
That's all, Just wanted to say Hello again and thank Josh for keeping the board alive!!
Happy New Year!!

Your not-so-secret Lurker,
Shawn

Re: Still Lurking, Someday I will be back!!

Jhow66 that is one beautiful site! Hopefully ours will be done in the next month or two.
Sorry it took me a few days to get back to y'all, been workin those crazy hfd hours. But I love my job, it gives me lots of time to work on other projects, or get a second job which is what I need to do.
As for the next truck, I'm thinking '72 Cheyenne Super SWB fleetside. I'm thinking either a big block this time, but maybe a LS2. Maybe I should start by finding a frame and cleaning it up. It seems buying a complete truck in good condition is proving harder by the day (I really have a fear of rust, even in the simple to replace cab corners and rockers... I had a really bad experience on another project). I will see, but right now I just wantto say thank you for the warm rewelcoming. I will be hanging around!

Re: Still Lurking, Someday I will be back!!

jhow66,
We seem to have eerily similar taste...Hmm... you couldn't be my long lost brother could you.... Are you 6'2", 185lbs, well built and ravishingly good looking with dark hair and blue eyes? If you are you are definately not a relative... We are more the 5'9" 200lbs pudgy dirty blonde hair blue eyed creatures. Oh well, If you do turn out to be my rich uncle... I have been looking for you all of my life!!!!! Ha Ha

How about 5'11"-142 soaking wet-almost 72 years "young" who still likes to do 1/2 blocks burn outs on either one just to keep the tires "round".
