I'm not sure of the question?

Is the rear of the hood not laying down all the way when you close it?

He probably has the same problem as me. When the hood is shut, the rear of the hood is too high, mine is a good 1/2 to 3/4 inches higher than the fender line in the very back.

I had that issue on mine, I just kept playing with the mounting of the hinge on the fender until it seated. If I am not mistaken I had to "tip" the hinge down towards the front to get it to sit down correctly. Now if only all the panels were squared up maybe the gaps wouldn't be so bad!

Agree with cduster.

I tried this procedure on mine and it worked perfectly. You need two people to get it done. I think Huck posted this originally:

Before you go buying new hinges etc. do this simple adjustment-----then let us know how well it works.
REAR HOOD HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT ---by Huck!
1- Loosen the 6 (3 on each side) hinge to fender bolts (9/16ths socket).
2- With the hood open---push it up further till you feel some resistance like it is as far as it should go with no extra stress.
3- Now with the 6 bolts just a little snug---push the front of the hood up a bit more to pre-load the springs---and with it held up like this---/---tighten the six hinge bolts.
4- BEFORE CLOSING THE HOOD, CAREFULLY CHECK FOR ALIGNMENT OF THE HOOD TO THE FIREWALL COWL--THIS SOMETIMES CASUES A BIND SO CHECK IT OUT FIRST.
5- Assuming the hood is now coming down in the rear like you want, adjust the hood front to rear using the 4 bolts (2 on each side) that mount the hood to the hinges 'IF NECESSARY'.
6- You may need to tweek the hood hinge adjustment a bit but in just about every case I've seen, this adjustment process fixes the problem without having to buy new hinges. If the hinges are worn real bad, then you will need new ones but----just make sure the old ones are well lubricated at there multiple pivot points and you may be home free!!!! Let us know---Huck
