Re: Windshield Rust Repair
I've been told that finding a good donor is about the only way save for rebuilding the one you have. I know somewhere I saw where someone grafted parts off the K5 frame to a truck cab frame and made it fit. Either way it is a bit of work.
I have a decent frame that I have to install at some point, the time is getting sooner rather than later because mine loses a chunk or two every time I drive the thing. There are HUGE holes on either side in the corners and the driver's pillar has dime-size holes going down to the cowl.

Re: Windshield Rust Repair
mine is really bad, someone tried to silicone it long ago and just trapped all the water inside(saltwater from florida no less).its mostly on the inside windshield lip at the top only.im looking at possible using parts from a pickup cab but that looks tricky too.i think this patch panel piece may help.ive printed out a pic off the net and im gonna look at it tonite.at least maybe to make for a little less fab work.but id love to find a nice rust free piece.
