Question Eaton Posi

Looking for opinions on the Eaton Posi units. I'm considering installing one in a 2wd, 10-bolt, with a set of 3.73 gears. The other option would be the Auburn Posi.

Thanks,

Ken

They are both great setups and either one you choose youll probably be happy with, you will have people tell you good and bad things about both. I would look at price and go from there becuase thats the only thing that will differ.

Eaton's are rebuildable. Auburn are not. If you're doing all this why not upgrade to a 12 bolt while you're at it.

Thanks for the info. I've noticed the new Eaton Posi's on ebay a few times, some have even been under $300.

Ken

I would only recommend an Eaton clutch type for the street. I don't like Auburns as they use cones (before the became rebuildable, as in couple months back) which eat the differential case when they wear out and you basically throw them away. Eatons can be rebuild for less than $70.
