steering stabilizers
I just got done(well,in the process of) installing a 6" lift on my swb 4x4.It has a steering stabilizer on it now but I am going to replace it.Any suggestions on what kind I should get?The truck will be a D.D./part time offroaded,not a heavy wheeler and will probably have 35's on it if that matters.

I have Rancho's single shock stabilizer kit on my 69 K20. It seems to do the trick. I believe they offer two different shocks, I got the better of the two on mine.

I have a duel Procomp. The one where the are on top of each other.

I think I got a procomp one or one of similar quality and it works good. Its only a single though.

69k10stepside, At what point should a guy go to extra stabilizers? I have an axle with a dual setup but is it needed? I think they are rugged trail. It also has the original stock stabilizer....

Msgross,I dont think dual stabilizers would be needed unless you moved up to a big lift (6"+),big tires,and do alot of heavy wheeling and still use it on the road.I use a single one on the 69 w/ a 6" lift though.You running 33's and no lift really dont need dual stabilizers IMO but its your truck and is up to you.Someone else might have more to say about them and when you need duals....

years ago I had read that when you go to 35's you may have a need for duals. Going to two of them will test your gearbox. Something to think about.

I also heard that 35's and up is where you should consider a dual setup. No need for smaller tires. They do make a difference as my 38's were all over the place without crossover and she tracks pretty straight now.

I've got 35's with just a single skyjacker stabilizer. No problem here.
