Happy birthday. Take good care of that truck and when you get to be my age (60 1/25/07) you won't believe what that truck will be worth.

Around here you can get one that has already been reupholstered for about $125 if you have a donor seat. If you don't then it will cost you around $250.
There is a guy at the local pick n pull that reupholsters the seats and then sells them on the floor of the yard.

Happy Birthday ClassicRedneck05!! It's good to see the young ones starting on these trucks so early. Never sell it!! You'll be sorry you did 20 years from now.

If the steering is sketchy do that first, you don't want all the other $$ you invest running into a ditch because you skipped the "safety" stuff. It's not glamorous but it keeps it between the lines.

happy birthday ClassicRedneck05! It's my birthday today to, turned 19 today, which officially makes me legal all over canada, my parents treated me to a set of disc brake conversion spindles for my Birthday, I would say go with somthing that adds a little power, headers sound nice, maybe rebuilding one of those carbs and getting a performer RPM air gap would be a nice birthday addition to your truck... just a thought though.

Re: January 6, 2007

if you have an auto tranny consider a shift kit. they're not expensive , and fairly easy to install . it's a good "seat of the pants feel the difference " upgrade
