68 3/4 rear ratio?

I just got a 68 chevy 3/4 2 wheel drive 6 cylinder 3 on the tree truck. No options except for heavy duty front and rear springs and sway bar.
What would the rear end gear ratio be, trying to figure out what I am going to do with it. It is a full floating rear, new to 3/4 up stuff so please baer with me
Thanks,
Steve

Just a guess here, but I believe that 6 cyl w/3spd came with 4.11 gearing.

On my '69 there is a tag on one of the lower diff. bolts that lists the number of teeth and the resulting ratio.Check there.-cougar

inline, 3 speed, no option code saying otherwise... it should be a 4.57.

Re: 68 3/4 rear ratio?

Just what I thought but not what I hoped. I got a good deal on the truck and it has trailing arms. I was going to swap it into one of my 1/2 burbs and make it a tow vehicle. A small block would never survive on the highway with that at 65. And no overdrive trans, too much money for what I want
Thanks guys..........
