1978 Chevy 3/4 4X4

Hey,

I dont have a Chevy truck but right now im looking at a 1978 Chevy 3/4 4X4 and was wondering,
is there anything i need to look for?
the truck supposedly has a freshly rebuilt Chevy 454 big block and rebuilt tranny but they dont have a warranty and they say they didnt do it themselves.

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

to me,, if somebody says they have a ne w motor or tranny,,but have no paper work, (a) they just put in one from a junkyard,, or (b)they are lieing..now i hate to call somebody a lier,,but when it is so easy to just power wsh and use dess up paint under the hood,,its hard to say..me i would figure junkyrd and offer according to that..unless you know them really well..but that just me..

If someone spent the kind of money necessary for rebuilding, you would think they would have some type of documentation to support it.....
