carter carb ID

Can any one ID this carter carb?
It says AFB on the back.
The number on the front mounting base are: 3871S
Mechanicle secondary's.
What year is it?
CFM?
What did it come on?
This carb was on my 3/4 ton chevy 350. It had a crazy looking adapter on it to convert it to a spreadbore. It ran like crap. I put a q-jet on it and it runs great now.

Re: carter carb ID

That carb came originally on a 1965 Chrysler Imperial with the 413cu V8.
I could not find any CFM rating for it.. Since it was on a big block its probably a 750CFM but cannot confirm it.

Re: carter carb ID

The Max Wedge was a high performance 413 but there were also many other versions of the 413 including industrial..
