i agree, i don't care what people think but im not sure if the long bed will fit well in the garage. I know the short bed will. my brother has 63 long bed ford and he measured it from bumper to bumper and my garage is 5-6 inches shorter. if anyone has a long bed c/20, could you measure from bumper to bumper. if no one can i'll measure this one im looking at in a couple of days.

If You Want To Have A 1/2 Ton I Say Find A 1972--1987 1/2 Ton Ripp Everything From Under The 1972 3/4 Ton And Swap It With The Newer 1/2ton Stuff Save You A Lot Of Time With In 2 Weeks You Can Convert A 3/4 Ton To A 1/2 Ton And You Can Use All The Brake Lines But The Rear End Will Mostly Be Leaf Springs

Tell me about it.When I got mine it had split-rims and tubed bias-plies (6.50x16s i think).Now that I have regular wheels and good radials I can actually go around corners.-cougar

Seems to me $500 is a great price for a all-one-color driver...try it, you might like it; slider, nice back bumper, bed storage box and a cool rail-thingy on the bedsides! An affordable way of finding out if these trucks are really you. Score the truck then worry about the rearend. You can' lose at that price but figure on finding 18' of parking space. E

I think I'm gonna buy it. I just might have to take the bed and bumper brackets off to fit the truck in which I would do anyway to start the tear down process.

Does it happen to come with a licence plate? If you're buying it in the "ghetto" or anywhere else for that matter, make sure the thing is legit before forking over the hard currency.
Some guy GAVE me a VW once and a while later the city came by and put a "Denver Boot" on it and said I had a ton of unpaid parking tickets!

lol, that sucks. I have some connections in the PD here and have had the VIN run already. I just found a 65 long bed down the road with an original V8 so if the guy comes with a good price on that, I might have two long bed chevys in my yard soon.....wife is gonna be pissed :-)

the eaton rear was used on the 6cyl and smallblock trucks.It is easy to swap it out for a newer rear end tho.It is a great looking truck for that price.I have paid more for a non-runner be for
