drop blocks

Anybody have closeup pics of the rear lowered with blocks. I need actual pics of the blocks installed as I've never seen them outside of advertisments.

HAHAHA, ummmmm nope, i actually have a total drop of 12", the block's just make up for 3" of it!

filp kit = 5" + removed leaf's = 4" + block's = 3" = 12"

yep, These piks i had a 12" static drop, but also had my step notch installed. Without the step notch i was laying hard into my 2" Belltech c notch so you would have to do a bigger notch if you wanted to drive that low.

I am only considering about 9-10" static in the back just wondering if I can do it with a bolt-in c rather then a full weld in cut the floor C

Does that ride as harsh as it looks? From the picture, it looks like you have as much travel as a rigid chopper. Are you running an air ride seat to compensate? Ouch...

Actually in the rear it rode better than stock! Keep in mind at that time i did have a 7" step notch so i had ample clearance. The front rode good too other than when you would hit the ground due to bumps lol.

Col Clank - you could prolly get away with a 10" (ish) drop using a 2 + inch c - notch, which would leave you approx 2" clearance. Thats not alot of room but depending on your driving habits it may be ok. If you plan to to run the truck that way permanent i would suggest going with a flip kit, and shackles and hangers (then if you need / want more, a drop block). Removing leafs is ok but obviously softens the ride. I removed some of mine as it was just temporary until i 4 linked and bagged it. If you don't have to remove any leafs then you won't bottom out as much. Also if you keep your full leaf pack you may get more than 5" drop depending on what flip kit you use. My Belltech flip kit on my other truck gave me at least a 6" drop. So that plus a 3 - 4" shackle hanger kit should put you at 9 - 10".

I have a flip kit and a shackle already, figured I would use a 2" drop block and call it good. if the drop hanger is a better idea I may do that instead.

yeah i'd do that if you can buy the hangers without the shakles? If not you could always cut off the factory hanger and raise it up.
