removing window glass and vent windows
What are the tricks to removing the vent window? I have my doors off, panels and all rubber/felt. I want to remove the vent windows now what are the tricks? do i have to remove my glass from the door before? If so how? What are the techniques? It looks like I need to slide the glass over to one side then pull it fron the track but I dont know. Oh yea it is a 68 chevy.
Thanks in advance Dave

DAVE -- REMOVE THE REAR WINDOW CHANNEL FIRST. THERE ARE TWO SCREWS ON THE INSIDE (INTERIOR) & ONE SCREW ON THE JAM SECTION, TAKE THESE OUT & PULL THE CHANNEL DOWN ,INSIDE THE DOOR. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO SLIDE THE DOOR GLASS REARWORD ABOUT 2 INCHES. THEN UNSCREW THE WING WINDOW, & PULL IT UP. WHEN YOU REACH THE END OF THE WINDOW CHANNEL ON THE WING WINDOW, YOU'LL HAVE TO TURN IT 90 DEG.S TO GET IT THRU THE WINDOW SLOT.
