Finally home! '69 C-10

I bought this truck back first of December, but was only able to get it home yesterday due to the ground being soft where it was parked. They don't get any fewer options than this one, it has NONE! All the option code list has on it is black interior and white/olive green exterior. Last tagged in '82, one owner with original title. I will be selling off a good chunk of this truck in the classifieds. Other than the rockers, I have found no rust in the cab and will make a perfect custom SWB project for me after the Blazer is complete.

the radio isn't listed?
It was probably a dealer installed unit.
What did you pay for it?

This is a 1972 no option truck. It does have a 307 V-8 that was standard with a 3 on the tree transmission. It was sold new in Parson Tn. 4/72 for $2452 including dealer installed rear bumper. I bought it in 2001 from the original owner (deceased) son. I just can't make myself take it apart so it still gets driven from time to time.

Radio is not listed. I would guess dealer installed as well. I paid about what the crusher would pay for it.

Re: Finally home! '69 C-10

Them Trucks Are Hard To Find That Truck Reminds Me Of The 1967 Camaro I Bought 7 Years Ago It Was A 327 With 3 Speed On The Floor Did Not Get Engine Or Trans With It But Found Out 3 Speeds In Camaros In 1967 Are Almost As Hard To Find Z28 Cars Most Of The 3 Speed Floor Shifts Where Cut Up And Used A Roundy Round Cars Or Drag Car's Not Many Lasted

That Old Truck Shoulf Of Had Disc Brakes Cus It Was Standered For That Year And The 307 Is A Up Grade From The 292 Inline 6 But Just To Make It More Safer I Would Just Put The4 Power Booster On It And Mabey Redo The Engine And Front Light Harness And Take The Inspecion Cover Off The Rear End And Drain The Oil Rear Gear Oil And Put A New Seal And Refill It And Regrease All The Zirk Fittings And Mabey New Tires And Shocks And Brakes From Other Then That Enjoy Your Find

Actually, the drums are right, disks didn't start till 71.
Also, the 307 is the base engine on the CE model... the SC would be the inline model, where the 250 was standard, and the 292 was optional. A 69 CE model would have a 307 standard, a 350 or 396 optional.

Longhorn man, I think the part you are referring to is him trying to tell me about my truck (orange 72) altho it is hard to know what he is talking about most of the time. I have known and serviced this truck since 1991. I have all the original paperwork on this truck and know it didn't have anything but base equipment on it. It had a base price, and dealer installed bumper, and sales tax and that was it. It does have disk on the front and they are not power nor does it have power steering. But what left me speechless was when he set in to tell me what all to do to make it safe and reliable when the last 4 months of last year I drove it and worked out of it doing service calls all over west Tennessee everyday. Except for tires I would leave tonight going anywhere with out a worry. Anyway I'm gonna shut up before I get banned but think that is where the confusion was. Later buddy.
