Re: phaton 1968 longhorn pics
Just wondering...what are the 6 metal brackets/straps for on the bed rails? There are 3 on each side.

Re: phaton 1968 longhorn pics
farm truck, those are used to bolt a camper body down in the bed.
It's a real longhorn, but I think the bed has been swapped out. When you start sanding it down, let me know if the original paint on the bed doesn't match the body. |

Re: phaton 1968 longhorn pics
you cant base its a long horn on the camper ties downs can you,or was this the only way you could get them...one of the junk campers i got came with 4 of them...never used them myself..they do make great tie downs for tarps to cover loads..

Re: phaton 1968 longhorn pics
well, we can SEE the seam... the 'longhorn line' if you will... and the VIN confirms it is 99% likely to be a longhorn. However, I still say it is a later bed.

Re: phaton 1968 longhorn pics
Andy, It looks to me like the Longhorn emblem holes were in front of the rear side marker lights so you it would have to be later bed. I am sure that must have been your clue...right? Maybe you mentioned this in a earlier post and I missed it.
DOOH! Just read all of your earlier posts...LOL!
