Where to order parts?

I am going to order a gas tank and sending unit from LMC because mine is rusty, but Manes Truck parts is cheaper on the sending unit.
Have you ordered anything from manes? Is their stuff quality? I'd like to order some door weatherstrip and some sill plates from manes. Thanks in advance for your help guys. Justin

Re: Where to order parts?

Got door weatherstrip from them a couple of years ago, it's ok and they were good people to deal with.

Re: Where to order parts?

Great prices and good quality!

Manes are good people to deal with ......

Shipping depends on where you live in the states.

Re: Where to order parts?

I checked about 5 prices including the sending unit and "Truck Shop" was considerably cheaper ( than Manes) on every item. Don't know about shipping though. They are in California, close to me.

Re: Where to order parts?

not sure if they still sell them, but I got my door weatherstip from the gm dealer, heard after market dont quite fit as well, although I havent used them , cause I ended up with dealer parts, this was about four years ago, so they may by now be out of stock and aftermarket may be only source. be surprised on some of the stuff dealers still carry. give em a try, always never hurts , just in the wallet. I have used both lmc and maines and chevy duty all seem to have pretty good parts / service and guarantee, the only problem I ever had with after market was the lower trim pieces on my 72 chevy, was the woodgrain sticker seemed to peel off prematurely, other than that I have had real good luck with most everything else..

Re: Where to order parts?

Some of you guys are pretty new so I'll throw this out there for you. There are a number of board members who support this site who are also vendors of parts.Usually they will give you a deal on parts and answers to any questions.I have even seen some of them give answers solutions to problems with parts they didn't even sell.
Just info so you can make a more informed decision.
