I am so excited. Just recieved a cowl hood, front fenders, inner fenders, core support, sport bumper and all the hardware and chrome for to change my '68 GMC into a '67 Chevy from LMC. Picked up a mint '68 grille last week. Cannot wait to do the swap. I am going to cover the complete conversion in the April issue of Truck Builder magazine. If anyone needs any small peices off a GMC front end let me know. The bumper is O.K., be great is someone wanted a painted bumper.

No problem, hope it goes well. In the Feb issue I installed the new Be Cool '67-'72 Aluminum radiator module kit. It sucks, now I have to reinstall it in the new clip though.

I thought the GMC fenders were the same as 67-8 chevy fenders?

They are but the coresupport is different and dare I say my fenders are a little rough and for 149.95 for an all new fender that has never seen the light of day is pretty cheap I think. That is why I bought the fenders.

I sure will. I can't wait to begin the insall. I can't do it thi upcoming week because of the Grand National Roadster Show but I will begin as soon as I return.

Before you even start, I'd enlarge all mounting holes to the core support, fenders, and cab. Will help prevent a lot of frustration and anger

Also, if I remember correctly, the fenders did not have the holes drilled for the headlight trim rings.... I had to drill mine after they were painted.

I'm happy with my fenders (Tri-plus units) but be prepared to "make them fit"

This may also be a good time to see if your cab mounts need to be replace as this will affect the fit of the new fenders.

Good luck and can't wait for the article. Are you doing it yourself or will a shop be assisting you?

I usually do all my own work. I don't know how familiar you are with the Buckaroo tiltes ( Street Rod Builder, Super Rod and Truck Builder and many more) but I also have a yellow '47 International on 17s and 20s that has been in various tech articles that I built and I have a minor personal shop but shooting other peoples vehicles and visiting shows and shops takes a lot of my life up but I do perform my own work and I will be doing it here as I love to work on my '68.
