Does anyone have radio schematics?

Does anyone have schematics for the Delco AM or AM/FM radios that are used in the 67-72 trucks? I’m an engineering student at Wayne State University and for my senior project I’m trying to do the AM/FM retrofit to an AM radio. I know it can be done because I’ve seen places that do it, but it cost like $400. I’ve talked to some of my professors and they seem to think it shouldn’t be that hard to pull off, but I guess we’ll see. I have to document the whole experience and when I’m done I plan on sharing the information on here. A set of schematics would really be nice for reference and hopefully make my life easier.

You might try referencing "Sam's Photofacts" by year and maker in the library. They were a publication that printed schematics, parts lists and commom gripes of commercial radios, tape players and TV sets. They may have had a line of pubs on automobile radios too.

Re: Does anyone have radio schematics?

I'm at school right now, but I can look in my factory service manual when I get home. There are quite a few schematics in the back and I'm sure I can find something for you.

Re: Does anyone have radio schematics?

If you don't come up with the schmatics on the truck radios, I have them for the 66 Impala AM/FM radio and could mail you a copy. Just PM an address to me if you decide you can use them.

Jim

Re: Does anyone have radio schematics?

I checked the manual but found no radio schematics. Sorry that I couldn't help you.

Re: Does anyone have radio schematics?

Thanks for looking everybody. I turned in my proposal tonight so it looks like I'm in it for the long run. I'll keep everybody updated.
