Re: Intake/ Carb combo?
RPM air gap and a 700 750 Eldebrock would be my choice. If you are staying pretty mild on the rest of the engine use a 650.Your cam and heads will play a big part in what works best for you.The 650 may give you better response for the street while a 750 will provide more airflow for WOT runs. The guru's at Summit can probably guide you on selection if you give them your engine specs.

Re: Intake/ Carb combo?
If its an otherwise stock 350 Id use a Edelbrock Performer intake(not RPM) or Weiand Action+ intake. The Performer RPM intake is a great intake...but not the best choice for an otherwise stock 350. The Performer RPM Air Gap doesnt make enogh differance to justify the cost, althogh they look neat.
As far as carb. my first choice would be a Q-jet. My second choice would be a 570 Holley Street Avenger. assuming its a run of the mill ,plain jane 350, its out of steam by 5000 RPMs, 350 Cubic inches doest need anymore than that@ 5000 RPMs. John

Re: Intake/ Carb combo?
People hate em cause they dont know em. a properly working q-jet can outperform & out MPG just about any other carb on the street.

Re: Intake/ Carb combo?
Intake for sure the Edelbrock Performer - hard to beat. Carb, either the Holley Street Avenger or the Edelbrock Performer.
No pushback on the Q-jets, but they are harder to tune than the Holley or Edelbrock. They're absolutely as tune-able, and the small primary/big secondary setup has it's advantage...but overall I prefer an aftermarket carb for a warmed-up street car. |

Re: Intake/ Carb combo?
My old car was an 85 cutlass 307, flows, 15" chrome rally wheels, Black exterior, burgundy interior, buckets...pretty much sport package. The 307 ran pretty good in that car but when I got it in 2004 it had 38,000 original mi on it. my grandfather bought it brand new and rarely drove it (only to church and on weekends) Stayed in grage the rest of the time. interior was perfect and paint was original in near PERFECT condition. The chrome on the wheels even looked new. My grandfather also bought my 68 brand new in 67 with a chevy 307.
