its counts as a 73-87 truck, right? My friend has a 80. Were about to re-do the entire thing to acceptable status

Thumbs up

Guy down the street has a sweet '82 El Camino.

Same blue as my truck, 350, wild cam, Sportsman 2 heads, Victor Jr. and a Holley Double Pumper.

By no means smog legal, but it sure is sweet.

They might drive more like cars, but they're listed as trucks in Texas....I love my 78! Congrats to gettin' one for your friend...79's are a great year to have.

I had a '79 elki and i loved that truck i got it form a buddy that went into the army i gave him a grand for it and the 305 died when i got it home and wouldn't start again. But it didn't matter cuz i had plans to replace it anyway with a 350 and a TH350 put a edelbrock performer intake and a holley 550 or 650 dont remember now and had a very nice custom dual exhaust on it.

There's some pic's of it on my web site in (other turx)

Then i had to sell it due to my daughters arrival two trucks and a baby dont cut it.

What does your buddy's have for a powerplant and trany???
