How am I ever going to figure this out??
Basically, the previous owner of my 1971 K20 4 x 4 decided it would be better to cut all the wires and vacuum lines going to and from the Air Conditioning system rather than leaving them alone. Both under the dash and in the engine compartment all I have is stubs of wires and loose 1/8" vacuum hoses. The diverter boxes and hoses were all duct taped and are now all resting on the floor, too.
Does anyone know of a "vacuum wiring diagram", and/ or a basic wiring how to on getting this back up and working. I think the freon hoses, condensors, and switches and levers are all there, just no vacuum hoses or wires. The wiring diagrams I do have just mention heater stuff, not AC. I've tried web searches, local junkyards for reference, drinking 6 packs, nothing's helping... Any advice or thoughts on good repair books or diagrams would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, |

Factory service manuals are usually about $35.00 from the BB vendors.I see chassis service manuals and such on evil-bay for $20-34 all the time.If you subscribe to the BB you can also acess the classifieds.

A bit of advice- as easy as it is to get your bench seat out, I would definitely take that out so you have more room to move around in your cab while messing with stuff under the dash. Trust me it will save you lots of headaches, backaches, and tools thrown at the wall!!
