Ford 8.8

what do you guys think about this axle... was gonna go with a 9" but came across a steal on a 8.8

You putting it in your jeep.I think if i remember right.They are almost a deadeven swap into a yj,If you want it in a tj then maybe look at rubicon express for there swap bracket kit.they have an 8.8" ring gear size compared to 9".And as was already stated it has disc brakes,factory posi.As far as swapping into an old truck works too.Good luck

no, its going in the '52.... the 8.8 WMS to WMS is too narrow for my CJ, it has a toy rear 58.5" and a D44 front 60" both with detroit lockers and 4:88's.

Thats cool.I just seen the jeep.Ive got a lift xj.Didnt look close enough to tell it was a cj.I know a few people who have put them into street rods and loved them.Of course they are not as smooth as a 9''.They seem to be plenty strong as i haave seen several running in the low 9's in the quarter mile.Good luck with your truck.Post some pics if you can.

i'm gonna go ahead and get it.... $50.00 from a friend, came out of his stang, he is original owner it has 70k miles on it. been in his storage unit for a long time. i will re-gear to 3.73 - 4.11 omce the truck is streetable. for now, all i gotta do is clean it up and weld spring perches on it.
