72 wheel and tire size help.....

I am looking for help picking the correct wheel and tire size. I have a 72 s/s s/b, C-10. It has 2 1/2 spindles, one rear leaf removed. Former 250 3 spd, now 396 T400.

I would like to use over sized wheels and tires. What is the largest tires that will fit in both the front and rear fender wells without modifying. If you are giving me wheel size, please give back spacing and off set. I would prefer to have the same size front and rear: or the other option is for a pro stock look, but I am sure I have to tub the rear for this to happen.

Part two, where is the cheapest place to buy the rims and tires. I live in southern BC and have an address for US shipping.

thanks

sledge

Re: 72 wheel and tire size help.....

Here's the package I'm using...well WAS using. Just sold the truck cuz we are buying a new house

Anyway, they are 20x8.5 with 5in BS front and 20x10 with 5.5in BS rear. Tires are 255/45-20 front and 295/45-20 rear. My front drop is 4.5 in and rear is 5in. Looks low in front, but there is no rubbing or interference when turning. And you have to hit a dip very fast just to get it to bottom a little.

Hope this helps.

Here are a few pics for reference..
