Confused

HI

I bought a 72 K/10 for a mud truck. After checking it all out I found it was a numbers matching truck. It runs real good and drives great. All I want is old mud truck to fix up for the mud drags. So my question is is a truck with matching numbers all original motor, trans, cab, and running gears worth more. What are your thoughts on this should I just sell it to someone who wants an all original truck and find one that is more deserving to have mud caked on all the time. Or go with my plans. I have K/20 I am fixing up for my daily driver and to pull trailers with.

Re: Confused

I have never looked at a car/truck as an investment, so if it were me I would build it for what I bought it for.

Re: Confused

Guys are always looking for unmolested original trucks. I would sell or trade to someone who wants it for an original restoration and find another one to trash...LOL! Just my 0.02 however.

BTW...Welcome to the board.

Re: Confused

personay i would not beat that one..buy one that is already beat for a mud truck..im not sure what a numbers matching pickup is worth,,but the numbers matching cars bring more money when sold..

Re: Confused

these trucks are soo popular i don't think that it would be worth too much more with matching numbers but if it is unmolested then i would sell it and find a beater to us for mud

Re: Confused

Anyone have a idea what something like that would be worth. I give 1000 dollars for it sight unseen the guy said it didn’t run but was a sold old truck. They had the timing all messed up I found after I trailed it home. It runs real good 4 wheel drive works real good. It needs front fenders and cab corners and paint. On the way home I had a guy offer me 1800 dollars for it and wanted to buy it right off the trailer I didn’t want to sale it, and then I told him I had a K/20 and now he wants it. Which is not for sale LOL!! I am putting my dads old 72 C/10 that he bought new and has been on the farm every since on that frame.

Re: Confused

Unless it has some rare options, it probably isn't going to be worth any huge amount. Pictures would help us give you a value.
