Easiest mod ever

Well I finally decided to work on my truck a little and thought I would tackle the clutch linkage situation. I have some dynomax headers that allow almost enough clearance for my Zbar but almost is just not enought so I busted out my sharpie marker and marked where I needed to move the linkage to. Luckily I have a friend right down the road (literally like a mile away) and he welded it up for me. What a nice guy. Anyways I bolted it up (which is now more difficult to do with the modification) and now I need a longer push rod. No biggie I was still able to feel how the new clutch felt. It's the Centerforce II setup and surprisingly it felt stock. I'm excited to drive it now. The clutch linkage was the last big hurdle, now I just to bend up som fuel line and hook up my front accessories and I should be good. I'll post pics later, I want to paint the zbar first so i'll take pics while it's out. I thought it would be alot harder to do this mod but all in all it took about 30 minutes.

Good deal! I'm glad to see you are making some progress.
What are you going to do about lengthening the rod? Find a different one? Weld an extension onto the original?

Re: Easiest mod ever

FYI ~ when I needed to make my rod longer I cut the stock one in half and then inserted each end into a thick piece of pipe and welded the pipe to the rod ends...walla longer rod

Re: Easiest mod ever

I’m not sure if I want to see a pic of you and your friend making your rod longer! Sorry, I couldn’t resist…let me know how it goes.
