Choke Cable: Different years....

Hey. I have a 66 C10, and i was wondering if the choke cable for my truck and for the 60-63 modle years are the same? I have a factory carb, at least i think i do, and the choke cable is really rusted. It doesn't move when you try and use the knob in the cab. I can pull on the other end with some vise grips, but that is hard enough to move. I was really just wondering if the 60-63 cable and the 64-66 cable are the same? Im looking to buy a new one from LMC Truck and they only have the 60-63. Thanks.......

I really cant say for positive that they are different, but if they were the same, I would think they would have them marked as 1960-66. My guess is, there must be some difference.

Re: Choke Cable: Different years....

Brad, I know for sure the knobs are different between 60-63 and 64-66. If the cable comes with the knob, that may be the only real difference.

I would be willing to bet money that it would fit. It is just a matter of the length of the cable, and I do not think there is any difference there. Just my two.
