My friend just converted his 69 c-10 to leaf spring, and my question is would it be difficult to put the crossmember and trailing arms in my 2wd 79 blazer. Any help would be appreciated..

Shouldn't be too much trouble. The frames are the same width, I'm pretty sure. I just did this with a '72 4wd Blazer. Set everything in place at ride height, square it up, drill holes and bolt in. You will have to fab an upper spring/bag mount because your rear framerails don't 'flare' out to accomodate them.

I have a build thread I need to update in the Blazer section you can look at for ideas.

The frames are quite a bit different from 67-79 but it could work. You will have to make your own front crossmember and fab up a spring bracket for the rear. I would also get a rear end out the 69, so the trailing arms will bolt to it, otherwise it will require even more fab work on the rearend

What's your real objective in doing this? If it's to get this type of suspension geometry, in this case, I'd recommend buying an aftermarket multi-link suspension. There is probably more work to get the '69 suspension in place than using one of the many available "custom" kits for your year model.

I would like to try this since it would cost me nothing for the parts and I can get the rear end from him pretty cheap. It will have air ride.
