A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
This truck is beautiful! I guess I like the colors mostly.
http://www.classictrucks.com/feature..._pickup_truck/ How many subscribers of Classic Trucks Mag? How do you like this magazine being a 67-72 Chevy Fan? I am mostly into original, restored, and slightly or mildly modified trucks. Just trying to figure out if I should subscribe. I reference them online from time to time. |

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
I saw that! The guy has like ... five trucks of the 67-72 era. At least, towards the end of the article in the magazine and I think at the beginning, there was a picture of all the trucks with various family and friends in them sitting in the parking area.

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
Yes I read and enjoy Classic Trucks. Like you, I am more into the original or slightly modified trucks.
Classic Trucks seems to be continuing down the road towards custom trucks and away from original trucks. I once wrote the editor an email to rebutt the editorial he did on modifying and customizing trucks. I told him that I thought that was more for their sister publication Custom Classic Trucks and that I thought he should stay closer to original. He actually responded and asked me for pictures of my truck and in 2004 my truck was in the Classic Cruiser section. Full page, four photos, and in colour. Now how can I say anything bad about the magazine. I subscribe and enjoy the magazine. Due the math, if you buy half of them at newstand prices, then you should probably subscribe. I do like the tech articles. I am still not convinced that the 73 and up should be there, but.......

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
I love the tech articles. There has been a plothora of stuff regarding upgrades to suspension and components in the past 12 months. Brakes, tubular arms and crossmembers and whatnot, power window kits, all kinds of stuff.

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
I think it's a good mag. They always have something interesting in it. I like that green/white 68. I think I saw that same truck on 183 near the airport about 2 weeks ago at about 7:00 in the morning. Not too many around in those colors and that nice of condition.

I love that magazine. They have a lot of features on our trucks with good tech articles. The website is a great place for reference too.

My daughter's high school was selling magazine subscriptions for fundraising and believe it or not, Classic Trucks was one of the subscriptions they were selling. I said giddyup. Love that magazine.

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
He has a stock pile of stuff. I met him a few years back. Actually I almost bought his Blazer but that was right about the time my wife and I were expecting our first child and I had just got a 69 Firebird Ram Air 400 convertible. I need to get in touch with him if we have that Central CALI Meet.

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
Street Trucks for some reason just about every issue has one of our trucks in it if not a tech article at least that's how it was in 2006 issues. Great articles and awsome trucks. Now I'm subscribing.

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
got a question, not to highjack the thread or anything. But on 67-68's, only on the CST package did the truck have the eye brow trim and the trim that ran along the body lines and wheel wells, is that correct?

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
Well, without "Custom Classic Trucks" and "Classic Trucks" what else is there? I like and subscribe to both of them.
You do occasionally see a 67-72 in "Street Truck" but not that often. "Truckin'"??? gimme a break!

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
Nope...the "Custom Side Moldings" option # B98 was not part of the CST pkg. It was a stand-alone option, and included the rear box/tailgate trim.

Re: A nice 68 C10 in Classic Trucks
I picked one up at Autozone yesterday. I may go ahead and subscribe too.
That garage or shop is a dream shop for sure! I'll even take it if he left those old trucks in there. |
