its a work in progess. 71 c-10 lwb, in the middle of frame off restoration. 69 c-10 swb, drag truck, 406 sbc, balanced, comp 292 cam, ported, polished, gasket matched, and bowl blended pro comp 210cc heads, 2.02/1.60 ferrea valves,1.6 roller rockers, re curved hei with msd 6al box, 2-step rev limter, accel 300+ wires, ported victor jr intake, holley 750 double pumper carb, dynomax 1 5/8 headers, 4 spd munci m-20 with super case and iron midplate, mr. gasket vertigate shifter, 5.38 pro gears with full spool, 33 spline moser axles and c-clip elimators, line-loc, 5 gal fuel cell, holley blue pump. 7.807 @ 88.37mph 1.60 60FT 80 g-20 van, tow rig, cammed 305, th350, 10 bolt 88 jeep wrangler, dd, 258, ax-15 swap, 4.5" lift, 33x12.50's, lockers, 3.55's Last edited by 71chevytruckguy; 01-23-2007 at 06:38 AM. |

I just sealed the deal on a perfect 70 GMC clip (those that are in the know, know its a 68 chevy under the grill!) and cab, pristine and patina'd when they get on the vehicle I'll post some picts.

i sometimes think of mine as rat rod ? but it doesnt have a big block chevy rat .i put in a 1973 dual exhaust riviera buick 455. its all stock except for an oil pump kit , ede$brock performer , 650 holley ,accell hei . 11" -centerforce dual friction clutch . adapted to the original chevy truck 4 speed .ive been drivin it with this combo now for a year , i love it . 3.07 posi . lowered 2/3 with springs and shocks ,

interior shot . i know its an olds steering wheel . it came with the truck , the last owner had a bunch of cutlass 442 stuff. ive since switched out the olds emblem with a buick one , yes thats a Sirius sportster

So what truely defines a ratrod anyway? Does the truck have to be a primer/flat neutral color, red rims, and WWW tires? I always thought thats what the term stood for. Very cool concept, in my opinion. You guys are doing great!
I always figured a HOTrod to be a classic put together from various, used aprts by an amateur mechanic to produce speed. IS this true? I consider my 67 to be a hotrod.

in my opinion its untouched in aprearance this includes factory paint. wheels can change except no twentys and low pros those are for esclades and you ********folks out there. the only modification is a ton of horsepower thrown between the fenders and maybe lowerd a little .
