Re: how low will i be? in the front.....
There are quite a few guys on here that will say there is no such thing as "too low". I think lower is better, but that seems like a lot for a static drop. Not sure what that would do to things like control arm geometry, ball joints, etc.

People say that a 3" drop spindle causes rubbing problems... so be aware of that.

Re: how low will i be? in the front.....
several people have told me when they put drop spindles on they had to cut a notch in their lower control arms.
Is this always the case say with a 2" or 2 1/2" drop spindle? Warren |

Naw.....Before I went to bags, I had 3" drop spindles AND cut a half coil. No notching or anything was needed. After I re-installed the springs, it looked raised like you describe, then I realized you need to flatten the bottom of the spring so it rests in the lower arm properly.

Quote:
With a 15' wheel and the drops in place, your overall drop will be around 5" from where the truck was before you started. You will notice a change in ride height as you drive but really no change in suspension performance. I ran wide tires up front and not once did I encounter a rub anywhere. I now have bags and drop spindles and with them flat, I still don't drag anything while parked, 18" wheel and tires get stuffed up in the wells though. No worries about dragging or notching anything with what you want to do. ...JK

Re: how low will i be? in the front.....
If you run 3" spindles with 15" wheels unless you have very little backspace they will rub against the lip of the A-arm. If you have a minimal backspace they "might" clear. If you go to a tire/wheel larger than 15" you eliminate the problem.
