mirror question

Saw this side mirror on one of our trucks and was wondering if it was stock. I'm looking for some different mirrors for my truck and this one looks like it would work, if I can find them. Sorry for the crappy pics but it was taken after midnight with a camera phone

Re: mirror question

That`s the 71/72 below eyeline mirror in painted form.the same style mirror was offered for 69/70 trucks, but the top mounting point is below that bend in the door and the other two arms are longer.

Re: mirror question

Yah looks like the same ones on my trucks. They came in both painted and chrome/stainless steel. I have both. Probably can get them used relatively easily or they make a similar one aftermarket avaliable at the local parts store. I think that the aftermarket one mounting holes are different than the originals but if you are adding these as different type of mirrors than not a problem. But I would recomend going to advance auto parts for the them. As they actually have a stainless head instead of the cheap chrome plated plastic one most offer. The plastic ones vibrate to much compared to the metal heads. Hope this helps.

Re: mirror question

My 67 had mirrors just like that on it when I bought it, but it also had about 5 other mirror holes in the doors

Re: mirror question

I have a original 69 GMC sales brochure and there is a pic of a truck on there with those mirrors.
