Post Not enough vacuum for power brakes

I have just installed a Comp Cam 292H in my 350 and a 2500 stall. I have also added a vacuum canister but still do not have enough vacuum for the power brakes. Has anyone experienced this type of problem and what more can I do about it.

If you really like the big cam I see two options. The easist would be to lose the power brakes. Manual brakes on these trucks are not that bad and will stop just as fast if you can push hard enought on the brake pedal. The second would be to adapt a hydra boost from a later modle truck. Lots of 73-up big trucks had them. They ran off the power steering pump insted of using engine vacuum. They are most common on desels but I have seen them on gas motors on big trucks. My 2001 chevy has one. GOOD LUCK
