My '69 runs like a$$

My truck runs like a$$ it spudders and sputs I've replaced the carb and intake I also added a used HEI distibutor. what might be wrong?

did it run ok b4 you changed things?if so, I would double check the plug wires....5+7 are easy to get confused..check the timing, and make sure all vacuum lines go some where or are plugged. eliminate one thing at a time..id start with the ignition and timing.then go to fuel and carb..did you replace the fuel filter? what kind of carb is it?
