Just kidding. <Really wish I was there>

It's supposed to be -6 tonight and maybe get all the way up to 8 above tomorrow here in Colorado. Wind chill is around -25... <Yeaaaa>
Only thing running here is 4X4's.

Re: My poor truck in Alabama

Yea I used to wish I lived where it would snow, Id take a trip up to tahoe and see some and it would be like 33 so it wasent to cold. Then I move here and have what I thought was a normal Colorado winter, a little snow here and there, melts off in a week, no big deal... till this year, I havnt seen my lawn in 2months, in fact I have 3 light up raindeer under that 4 foot pile in my yard somewhere....

Re: My poor truck in Alabama

Well guys, it got down to -25 last night (actual temperature). The wind chill was around -45. This is the worst cold snap we've had in years. Colorado has had more snow than us, but we've been alot colder. I figure this just separates the men from the boys. But I do hope mother nature turns up the thermostat pretty soon.

These are the types of temperatures that I get busy at work...not pleasant working conditions, especially if you have to stand out on an open hi-way for an hour trying to upright some idiots 4X4(people seem to think 4wd makes them invincible on icy roads).

Re: My poor truck in Alabama

I was waiting for a Canadian to chime in. Usually if its cold here, its really cold up there. I heard that last night up around Winnipeg (about three hours north of me) that it hit -40 last night and wind chills in the 50 something below range. Now thats COLD.

Re: My poor truck in Alabama

I back Kager67 as a fellow member living in NoDak. But we pale to those freaks up in the great white north!!!. Was -40 F or C?

All I know is it's freakin' cold to go anywhere, walking to class is fun, against the prairie wind. The car (pretty much new) takes longer to start, coolant gauge reads -20*. I can only imagine those Canucks. They must plug in their electric car huh. (Southerners: if you don't get it, yeah.)
