Talking Getting a bedliner!

My dad's getting me an Inyati spray-in bedliner for my '70 as a sliiightly early birthday present. (Appointment is Fri, my birthday is Sunday. Heh.)

Anyway...I'll probably still call them to make sure, but is there any prep work I should do, aside from maybe just washing the bed? I want it sanded out at least some, the last coat of paint is kinda crappy and they painted over stuff they should've washed off, like a bird turd, and some spilled superglue residue that should've been sanded off if a block had ever touched my truck like they said it would...

When I had mine done they said I did'nt need to do anything to it. But I got some wax and silicone remover and used that. I got it from space age paint on Country Club and Broadway in Mesa.

Thumbs up

I'd like to know how it comes out. I'm thinking of haveing one put in my 70. Are you having it put on the rails? Pictures would be nice.

Thanks
Steve

Don't mean to steal the post but I have been looking at some Herculiner at Orschlen's Farm and Home. I think its about $80 for the kit and $40 for just the stuff you put on.

I was going to do the Herculiner thing, but decided that it would be too much time and went with a spray-on Speedliner from a local truck accessory store. I just got it today but it looks awesome, very professional.

I was debating doing that since I first saw the stuff at the Truckin' Nationals at least two years ago...but I've seen a few that had actually been used and it was just no comparison to the spray-in stuff. Of course, there's that huge gap in price as well, but still...

No project ever goes smoothly...

It turns out that the inside of the bed was, well, basically never prepped period when they painted it (surprise, they painted over bird poop!!!) and it peels off from compressed air. So I've got to wait another week before I can get it all done because I need to get it sandblasted now...argh.
