From what I understand you don't need a computer to run this trans. It is operate via TV cable. There is a tourque convertor lock-up circuit that somehow ties into the brake light switch. Hopefully someone will chime in who knows.

You can purchase a "TV made EZ" kit from bowtie overdrives which makes setting up the TV cable simple, and they also sell a lock-up kit that works with the brake switch (unlocks TC when brakes are hit.)

I installed mine back in october. Works great. I think it cost about $170 or so with shipping.
