new here...
I just took possession of my grandfather's 1965 fleetside longbed truck. Man, its a mess. The interior is alot better than the body, but its still pretty sad. He died in 1988 and it hasn't been driven since 1991. My uncle finally realized it was rotting and decided to let my brother and I have it. It was pretty cool cleaning out the glovebox. We found all the paperwork from when he bought it from the dealer in 65. He still had the warranty book with the protecto plate in it and the handbook for it in the plastic wrapper. My plans are to do a restomod frame-off restoration, and probably shorten it to a short bed. I would like to keep it a fleetside, but it looks like bed panels are hard to find for the 65 fleetside. If anyone's got any suggestions, I'll gladly take them.

Re: new here...
Looks like we both have our grandpa's trucks. I got my project about a little over a year ago. Good luck.
