72 chevy cheyenne

I recently purchased this vehicle, however I am not sure about the mouldings on the outside. I have all the lower mouldings, but not the upper ones. My question is this, does this truck even have upper mouldings in its originality?
It has factory AC and the first letters in the VIN are CC if that means anything .....thanks...Rene

Re: 72 chevy cheyenne

others on the board will correct me if im wrong but i believe there were some models that only had the lower moldings and there were the cheyenne models that had upper and lower and also the CC from the vin doesnt help as far as that goes and if you want to decode the vin go to the home page and youll see the link for the vin decoder on the left handside and also

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

Re: 72 chevy cheyenne

Can anyone help me to identify the name of the circled part? Someone mentioned that the original part was replaced with two clamps and a hose fitting. What should be in it's place?

Re: 72 chevy cheyenne

That`s conventional 2 tone.tee hee hee.Just a white top is standard 2 tone.yuk yuk
The CC at the front of you VIN tells that it`s a 2wd with the second C.That was the first number until`72.Then,in`72 Chevys had a C and GMCs had a T.So,CC means `72 Chevy 2wd.If it was a GMC 2wd it would be TC.The next letter is the number of cylinders with S for 6cyl and E for V8.
So,what do you have?A CCE1,CCE2CCS1,or CCE2.
There`s nothing about the trim, paint,or options in the VIN.
