Re: Manifold Paint
I used Dupli-color that is sold at any auto parts store. Good to 1200 deg. it has some ceramic properties too. I did the optional backing process which it says it will be more resistant & more durable.
s/t Forgot to mention I sand blasted with aluminum oxide first.

Re: Manifold Paint
VHT makes a cast iron grey paint made just for manifolds. I used some on my headers and it held up really well. Here are some pics.

Re: Manifold Paint
Check out Eastwood's website for their manifold coating. I have seen the stuff and it works great.

Re: Manifold Paint
The VHT is the best. But, you have to get the metal clean for it to stick properly. Very clean.

Re: Manifold Paint
Try Eastwood Stainless Steel paint. It gives them a bead blasted look and you can spray it or brush it on...

Re: Manifold Paint
My eastwood manifold coating did not last. I had them sandblasted cleand then painted and withing 3mo rust was back. I would recomment the VHT or duplicolor.

Re: Manifold Paint
I used the POR 15 manifold paint. Sand blasted them first, then brushed on 2 coats. Now my truck is not a daily driver, but these have been painted about 1 1/2 years, and been through several heat cycles. I am pleased so far.
