454 temp sender
by chance, is it possible the temp sender for a 76 454 might be under the exhaust on #8 cylinder? I have a strange leak that I am finding it difficult to believe would be a head gasket. I have no reason to think the gasket went. When I either step on it hard or am trying to run above 60 mph it will blow antifreeze on the exhaust and I just haven't had time to get under the truck to look

Re: 454 temp sender
I think there is a plug between 1 and 3 exhost ports and 6 and 8. the sender is on the drivers side on mine. You might have a leak at the plug where the sender would be?

Re: 454 temp sender
The heads are identical left and right and as ureckme said, their is a plug between 6&8 that could be leaking. I have been told before by GM when I worked at a dealership to put the temp sender on the passinger side head.
